Lawyer Fighting Workplace Discrimination
Employees have the right to be free of discrimination in the workplace. But rights are meaningless, unless they are exercised.
If you believe you are the victim of employment discrimination, please contact me, Stephen Roger Bosin, for a free consultation. I am an experienced employment law lawyer who can help you recover financial compensation if you have suffered damages. My services are available in Bergen County and throughout New Jersey.
Protecting Your Rights
Federal law protects employees throughout the country from age discrimination, racial discrimination, sexual discrimination and discrimination on the basis of disability, religion or national origin. New Jersey law offers even more protection for employees.
For example, federal age discrimination law only covers people of age 40 or older while New Jersey law has no minimum age. New Jersey law protects employees from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation while federal law does not.
Do You Have A Valid Claim?
You cannot sue your employer for employment discrimination simply because your boss treats you unfairly.
I will analyze the circumstances of your case and determine whether or not you have a valid claim of employment discrimination. To be eligible, you must belong to a class of people protected by the law, for example, a member of a certain race or religion.
In addition, your employer must have taken an adverse employment action against you because of your membership in a protected class. For example, if you were fired, demoted, repeatedly passed over for promotion or paid less than someone else for performing the same services because you are a member of a protected class.
